Matching Gifts
Employees are The Toro Company’s greatest assets. The Toro Matching Gift Program bolsters employee generosity by matching gifts between $25 and $1000 to nonprofit organizations with an environmental focus or an educational institution.
Dollars for Doers
Toro rewards employee acts of volunteerism through this financial contribution. The Dollars for Doers program donates $300 to qualifying nonprofit organizations where Toro employees volunteer at least 30 hours annually outside their normal work schedule.
Toro Team
At Toro, building connections in our communities is just as important as building connections in our company. The Toro Team program matches funds raised by teams of 6 or more employees through participation in a charitable event. The Giving Program matches donations made by the group to approved organizations, from $100 to $1000. Toro employee donations are matched for important causes, and employee relationships are strengthened through positive team building. It's a program that benefits everyone - communities, employees and Toro.
Individual Heroic Effort
The Individual Heroic Effort Match supports Toro employees who individually participate in a charitable event of three or more consecutive days in length. The Giving Program matches donations made by the participating employee to approved organizations, from $100 to $1000.
United Way
The United Way, whose mission is to improve people's lives by mobilizing the caring power of communities, is one of The Toro Giving Program’s primary benefactors. Toro proudly supports the LIVE UNITED Campaign that works to advance the common good by focusing on education, income and health. Each year, Toro employees donate generously through individual contributions and fundraising events. The Giving Program matches these contributions dollar-for-dollar and provides products for local auctions and charitable events that benefit the United Way. In 2009, cash contributions from employees and the Company totaled over $980,000.
